There's no better place to spread holiday cheer than in your own home. Here are five easy (and cheap) ways to spruce up your home for the holidays.
1. Decorate Your Front Door
Welcome your guests (or the Amazon delivery guy) with holiday decor. You can go classic with a wreath, decorated with ornaments and bows, or even trim your door with holiday lights.
2. Use Scented Candles or Holiday Potpourri
Cinnamon, peppermint, sugarplum, or gingerbread. Any of these scents will add Christmassy vibes to your home. If you're a DIY guru, try decorating votives with pine cones or leaves. A simple scent trick is to add pine cones and a few holiday knick knacks to a large bowl and leave it in the center of your living room table.
3. Decorate the Mantel
If you have a fireplace, your mantel is just begging for some holiday decor. Since you'll most likely be gathering around it during the winter months, it's the perfect place to decorate. Here, you can use a decorated wreath, stockings, and a strip of pine leaves to make it festive.
4. Aim High
Homes with tall ceilings call for tall trees, especially in the foyer, if your home is large enough. Opt for a full tree, but not too bulky. You want your holiday tree to stand out, but not take up too much space.
5. Coordinate Your Wrapping Paper

Yes, wrapping paper can be apart of your decor. Pick between three to five wrapping paper rolls that sync with each other and match the color scheme on your tree. What do you do to decorate your home for the holidays? Comment below!
