A colorful, eye-catching houseplant might be just the companion you need to freshen up your home this season. Imagine your living space with vivid plants and luscious green leaves… Revitalizing, right? We agree, and even if you don’t have a natural green thumb the list we put together features beautiful and durable plants that are easy to care for.
POTHOS
This popular planet has a trailing vine and earned the nickname "Devil's Ivy" for its ability to withstand nearly pitch-black conditions as well as under- and over-watering. Not only is this plant one of the easiest to take care of, it’s also known to purify the air. Hang your Pothos plant to show off its stems or plant it in a pot to mingle with other plants. Wherever you put them, they will be a great addition to your home.

KALANCHOE
Kalanchoes are tropical perennial succulents that are very popular as houseplants as they also require very little care. This succulent does well with water retention and grows colorful bell-shaped flowers. Kalanchoes are resilient plants that can withstand dry climates and cold 45 degree temperatures.

ORCHIDS
Orchids are stunning plants that can produce the most beautiful symmetrical flowers. Orchids are one of the oldest families of flowering plants, and their varieties can be found all over the world. Orchids prefer low light and humid climates, which is why they can thrive indoors. Fun fact: Orchids take about 5-7 years to bloom once germinated. The plants sold in stores are already decades old! At home, they’re easy to grow and can re-bloom several times a year.

SNAKE PLANT
Snake plants are excellent go-to house plants as they are considered hard-to-kill plants. This plant can go for months with minimal water and have luscious green leaves that are typically stiff, sharp, spiky, with a snake-like pattern. Similar to Pothos, Snake Plants are also known for their air purification qualities. (They release oxygen at night). Most workspaces and homes have built-in air circulation systems, but more snake plants in spaces like this will help especially when the air conditioning systems are turned off during the night hours.

PEACE LILY
The white blooms make the Peace Lily a vibrant accent to brighten up a low-light room. These plants are great as they are prone to overwatering. With just the right amount of light, they can produce lovely white spear-shaped flowers all year long. In addition to being beautiful, Peace Lilies purify the air around them and remove harmful toxins from the air, such as ammonia, formaldehyde, and trichloroethylene.
Which of these plants will you add to your home this spring?
